Rear Licensce Plate Bracket 1971

Here again is another detail of my restoration which has me stumped: Attached is a photo of a genuine Porsche "license bracket"... # 90170105124 ...for the rear plate of the 1971 911 car. But, it only aligns perfectly to the front bumper, for the front liscense plate. I went back to Porsche thinking there was a similar separate bracket for the rear but there wasn't...the book calls for the same part. Anyone have a solution -- I want my rear license plate and frame to show correct. Thanks.

I think this is a repro, but the original looks very similar:

If you decide to sell that front plate thing, message me a price, I would use it for my 66.

It's worth $5,600 on the Early 911S bbs...

I don't understand your comment Randy Here's a recent thread on the Early S Registry where a member offered the brackets to another member for only the cost of shipping:

why not? just a joke. People into the concours thing are really into it and will pay a lot for an original part - even if something better is available in the aftermarket.
