What's trash and what's not??
 

I have a 73 911 that is a time trial/ track / future race car. Any value / any reason to keep things like old door panels, how about the metal rods for the headliners?

Since I consider everything to do with that car special, I am reluctant to get rid of any removed pieces.

I tend to think you shouldn't throw away ANY parts from that car ... no matter how seemingly trivial they might be! Somebody might want it on eBay, and be willing to outbid anyone to get them!

definatly dont toss anything. ebay loves even the junkiest of parts :)

I have the same situation going on. Ebay and swapmeets are a great place to 'rid' yourself of the extra street trim. Depending on how far you go, some of the suspension components are a nice upgrade for someone who is building a 914-6. My personal opinion is that if am not going to use it somebody else might as well.

It is funny how much money little silly stuff can bring.... its the whole one mans trash is another mans treasure... one person tries to build a race car another tries to convert a race car back into a street car ... yen and yang :)

It's also funny how after you get rid of something & decide you need it later, how hard it is to find and how much it costs.

LOL!!! Yes murphy's law at its best :) .. this can even happen with whole cars ...
