smoke, noise, 86 carrera, oh my
tried to post yesterday, didn't take...
while interstate driving last week, hard accelerations down on ramps produced white/yellowish smoke above 5k rpm with a detonation-like sound with no loss of power. no excessive oil consumption, somewhat high oil pressure (10w-40, cold temps, 5+ on gauge above 3k rpm, otherwise idling normal), no oil in airbox, runs fine at normal engine speeds and throttle conditions, no apparent oil leaks anywhere. When accelerating hard I sometimes get a bang from the exhaust pipe when changing gear. Did you experience that?
