8/35 Ring & Pinion for 915
I have been thinking about making some 8/35 ring and pinions for the late 915's. The decimal for 7/31 is 4.43. The decimal for 8/35 is 4.38. I believe this would be an advantage over the 7/31 for strength purposes. I have seen many situations where a 7/31 is needed but strength and longevity were a major concern because of the high HP and torque. As you all know, used 7/31's are hard to find now, new ones aren't cheap, and reliability may be a question for some. Any input would be appreciated. www.carquip.com

How about some 7/37 Ring & Pinions for us Serious RPM's Enthusiasts???
I'm quite sure the 'trailered' autocross enthusiasts would go for them, too! ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa |
