T'was the night before Christmas....

T'was the night before Christmas, and all through board
not a member was stirring-even those often ignored.
Questions were posted to the server with care
in the hopes that "Early_S_Man" soon would be there.
All the P-cars had settled in for thier long winters' nap
some in the garage, some up on a rack.
The newbies were snuggled all warm in thier beds
while visions of plastic intercoolers danced in thier heads.
Suddenly, outside, there rose such a clatter
"Wow" I thought, "did someone's CV joint scatter?"
I peeked outside and wondered, "What's this?
"A hot-rodded sleigh with an air-cooled flat six?"
On the roof the sleigh landed, so quick and so smart
the bag looked like it was filled with Porsche parts!
Brembo's and alloys, H5's and chips
it's a wonder he got in all in one trip.
"Hey Santa" I asked, "what's with the sleigh?
And what is it that makes you travel this way?"
He said, "I deliver to all, young babes and old pensioners"-
"but the Turbo's in the shop-it lost a chain tensioner."
"I keep in touch with the reindeer via satellite link"-
"they've got thier own routes, you see-there's more parts than you think!"
After dispensing his gifts, he boarded his sleigh
fired it up, and said, "You'd best move away."
"On Comet, on Cupid, on Donner and Blitzen"-
"snap it up, boys, we've got cars that need fixin'!"
and I heard him exclaim, as he roared out of sight
"Merry Christmas to all, and SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT!"

Hey Clay, thats good, best thing I have read on this board in a while. My I copy and use it? Not for profit, but to share with others for fun and enjoyment.

Now for fun!

My next question is, car broke down or what? This reminds me of Jack before he got his car back and Lelands tank/Porsche pic, you OK guy?

Clay,

Great story to get us ready for the Holiday season. I have dreams about P car parts every night, I guess I hope my wife will find the catalogs with all the parts circled.

I guess the car is tucked in the garage for a long winters nap or it runs perfectly, since you have the extra time to compose.

Happy Holidays, Todd

Sure, RLJ, share it with whoever you think might get all the P-car refrences..lol...and yes, I have a SEVERE case of Porsche withdrawal-I haven't driven mine in over 10 YEARS-I've drug it around with me over the course of moving 5 times, getting divorced, re-married, having a kid, etc, etc-but, I never considered getting rid of it, and I'm finally getting to about the halfway point in it's restoration/rebuild/upgrade. Now that I've sold my daily driver/autocrosser '88 5.0 Mustang, I'm going through racing withdrawl, also. I gotta quit wasting(?) so much time and get after the 912, at least so I'll have something to terrorize the cones with!

Merry Christmas Clay, before the party at Warrens' this year we all need to stop off at your place first and get the 912 running. With 30 or 40 elves on the job, we ought to bust it off within a weekend huh?

Cool, Robert-just make sure the elves bring: 5 alloy lug nuts, 4 BFG G-Force T/A's, 3 CV joints, 2 Koni inserts, ..and a partridge in a pear tree.
