73 911E Badging - ? Badge Delete
 
Have 73 911E that has no bage holes in the deck lid I am replacing. Question is was there a "badge delete" option in 1973?

If not I assume I wiould need to make a template for the "PORSCHE" badging to drill the new lid.

Or has anyone had sucess in trim taping the badge letters?

Any assistance appreciated
