For those trying to source 911 badges
This link may be of interest to those searching for the elusive 911 badge.
This may be an alternative to the problem LINK |
Good find.
For the generic "911" used on the Millenium edition 996, the black version is still $25, but the silver version has gone up to something like $200. This might be a good substitute for that (with the option of adding a couple of letters to indicate just what's been done to the car). |
thanks for the LINK!
i've been trying to decide for some time what to call my car, and now that i'm going tail-less i need to add something... its not a carrera so thats out of the question. its a 911S so that is a good starting point, however i would like something a little more unique then that... its far from an rs so thats out also.... i though about 3.5S, or something.... any ideas??? maybe just 911S on the deck lid with 3.5L on the decklid/engine grille? |
Dave, you may want to change the link. It opens up the page with your account already logged in.

I edited Dave's post so it wouldn't log everyone in on his account. (Nice security on that site. )

I was thinking about putting a ducktail with the millennium edition badge on, but "911SC" in modern porsche font might look interesting too. |
That's close to what I have on my duck. It looks like it's pretty much the same typeface:

Gosh darn, that's a stylized rear. Thanks, again!

Thanks for the edit Jack! I hadn't realized. Hope it's useful!
