Ever seen this before?

Dropped the engine on my Euro 1978 911SC to fit SSIs and to try and solve some of the long term oil leaks when I found the "Oil Line Adapter" (#33 on page 130-4 of Bentleys) with a cut across the threads and sealing face. It has been repaired but is the obvious source of one of the leaks. The engine was "rebuilt" by the PO about 30K ago.

At the moment engine is on its stand so I can clean it up but do I re-fit this dodgy part with more "plastic" filler or try and source a new part. I think I have just answered my own question!! Anyone know the part number for an "Oil Line Adapter"?

Grant,

Nope ... never seen such a hose job! Looks like a MM special!

Looks like you need one of these:

999-136-008-09-OEM Connector/Union Plug, 911/911 Turbo (1974-89) Brand: Genuine Porsche $15.25

And, the sealing ring:

900-123-118-30-M131 Connector/Union Plug Sealing Ring (22 X 27mm), 911/911 Turbo (1974-89) $0.50
