911R steering wheel
Well I guess I finally have to submit myself to the groups appreciation or voodoo logic nitpicking as we actually have the first few R wheels going to the LA show for Saturday. You guys cannot imagine the running changes we made as we went along and received more pics and measurements from known original wheels. All I can say is that what we finally came up with jibes with all the known FACTS and the best recollections of actual owners/ drivers past and present. I am now accepting orders at the pre delivery price of $395 for the first five sold, $495 for any further pre orders. List will be $595. All these prices include the correct billet CNC machined hub and wheel. The horn button, horn contact and electrical components may be ordered for an additional $100. The initial run is only 30 pieces. You can see pics of the R wheel as well as our new production of 380mm '73 RS wheels at www.ClassicoWheels.com/911R Jeffrey Fellman/Classico Wheels tel. 941 321 9389 or 941 346 1778.

I'd like one of the first five, plus the electrical stuff. What do I need to do?

This thread should be in the "for sale" forum.

So, what's the conventional wisdom here...
The currently-available Prototipo is billed as a copy/duplicate/reproduction/reincarnation of the wheel used in "factory Porsche racing cars" including 906s, etc., but it has round holes instead of tapered slots in the spokes. Anybody? |

The wheel that Jeffrey/David are attempting to reproduce here :
911R steering wheel reproduction limited run was specific to the 911R. The Prototipo was also fitted by the Factory to a number of their race cars including (at least 1) 911R.

at the last minute a friend of mine was able to arrange for my son Spencer to meet his idol Billy Gibbons before their concert here on Saturday [thanks Jimmy!]. It is his 8'th birthday present. I apologize to all the people who are banking on my attending the LA meet. I FedEx'd the entire dog and pony show to Brad Ripley of NLA and he will be selling and showing my wares at my regular prices. Anyone who wants to order a wheel can call me on my cell at 941 321 9389. Leave a message if you don't reach me in spite of what the voice mail says. Jeffrey Fellman/Classico Wheels
