Bearing grease Seal Question

Sorry no pics, I am replacing front bearings and picked up Timken inner seals from the local shop (bearings sourced from Pelican!).

The plastic/rubber Timken seal depth is not as thick as the all metal seal I am replacing.

anyone have issues with these? Anyone using them? Do I install them flush with the outer hub lip or press in till they sit on the inner lip??

Thanks in advance!
