Denver Pelicans - SSI Question

I have poured over all the threads on converting my 3.2L exhaust to SSI. I am convinced it is the way to go but would like to hear a couple conversions with various mufflers before I make up my mind. M&K, Flow Master, Dansk, etc. Can hook up with some of you and listen to the difference in person?

Thanks

Most of my research has led me to conclude that the diameter of the SSI may be great for the smaller engines (up to 3.0) but the 3.2 does not benefit that much from the SSI.

Instead, many have gone with the euro premuffler at less cost and equal performance. I have a Dansk pre-muff and a B & B exhaust on the Club Sport with a Steve W chip and on the 78 (85 3.2) I have a original euro per-muff with a Dansk exhaust....I'm happy with both although the B & B gives a much better sound. If Ben had been making his when I was looking I would have gone with the M & K vs the B & B. Many happy Pelicans with the M & K

What's your timetable? Orrin and Greg @ Eurosport Ltd will be finishing my engine soon, when I get it back I'm installing SSI's and a greneric/oem stainless muffler. (they recommended Ben's mufflers, but I have to wait until the budget allows) I'm hoping for sometime in April to have it all running again. It's a 3.0 with 10.5.1 JE's, 964 cams and EFI.

Scott that might work based on my travel schedule. Orrin said he has done 3 or 4 SSIs in the last two weeks. I thend toward M&K as well but would like to make sure. Lots of $$$ at stake.

Yea, they are high volume for sure, probably the nicest guys in town as well. I travel as well, my schedule is hectic to say the least. When I get my engine in, which is as small affair after Greg and Orrin finish it up I'll PM you so we can meet up. I also intend to leave it with them a few days for dyno testing as well, so you may be able to hear it then

I have stock headers on mine with a flowmaster. I like the sound. A bit louder, but not too loud. The guys at Eurosport put the exhaust together for me. They did a nice job (and charged accordingly).

Had a customer come by the other day with his 78' SC. SSI's and 2in/2out M&K. Great sound. Customer said it was worth the $$, but you're certainly better off seeing, and hearing "in person".

The car has tons of low end torque and great throttle response not sure if it is the SSI's or the 3.6 in an SC body. Most likely it is the 3.6 either way I think you would like the set up on your own car. I difently can't complain. When you get back in town you can come check it out if you want. Just let me know.
