Grinign sound when rolling car

As a recently returning P owner, this is my first winter in some time so forgive the basic question...As I roll the car each month to prevent flat-spotting the tires, I hear a scraping sound....brake pads? (shouldn't be contacting the rotors?)... Wheel bearings? Any help in diagnosing appreciated.

Sounds like brake pads...they actually barely touchthe rotors. Maybe a little surface rust setting up on the disks. If its really hard to push you may have a dragging caliper. Take it out and drive it and I bet it goes away.

john, leave gear engaged and release parking brake. jack up the car one side and spin your front and back wheels by hand. you'll most likely hear the grinding noise by then. if not, try the other side. you might have a busted wheel bearing. simple to work on but it takes time to do it. good luck. hope this helps.
