Still curious what size tires you choose
|
I had a Porsche shop do that to one of my wheels and I took it to a tire shop that backmounted the tires to the rims.

F16- They are 245-45/16 & 205-50/16.

Doug,
What a bummer. Please feel free to call anytime. 408-210-0113 Let me see what I can do for you. That would drive me nuts! Don't feel bad - The same day I had mounted my freshly polished and custom painted 19" wheels on my 996 I curbed the left rear wheel and them curbed the right rear sourcing a 930 wheel for a brother pelican. Yes - The same day. I ended up buying another set of wheels so I can simply swap when an imperfection occurs. I would encourage you to have the tire shop pay for the damage. Thank you, Jason |
You gotta be real careful about tire mounting monkeys, they don't work there because of their expanded intellect and great attention to detail...

I don't think that scratch will require a refinish on the wheel. In fact I don't think that the scratch is really a big deal. Just drive it, you could sand with 2000 grit and then air brush in some paint but for what really? Its so faint, unless its a bigger deal that the camera is not picking up.

Save for future curb rashing, if there's a resale value, it's less now.
