just cranks and cranks
1974 2.7 911
the car starts perfectly, except there been a couple of times where i've driven the car around for about a half an hour or so then parked it and a few hours later i would try to start the car and the car would just crank and crank and crank, I'd give it a couple of seconds rest, and then try starting it again and the motor will slowly wind up to start. another time it died while idling and then wouldnt start up, towed it back home and then for the hell of it i tried to start the car and it started right up... help? |

Seems like your Ignition Coil is on its way out . I had a similar problem with my 1980SC and found out the problem the hard way .
