Deceleration valve CIS

How does a CIS deceleration valve work? 79 930

The deceleraton valve is a throttle plate bypass device that is controlled by intake vacuum. At idle or under power (throttle plate open), the valve is closed. It opens when you close the throttle and create high intake vacuum during engine braking. The extra air produces better combustion and lowere emissions.
