Backside Valve Adjust Question
I think I have the procedure down correctly, but one question for clarification (and confidence building).
When using the backside method, the intake (upper) valves are measured by sliding the feeler gauge in from beneath the car? Hopefully that's my last question on this topic, and I'll be able to finish this job soon. Thanks in advance. |
Hi Dave,
Short answer, yes. Since the intake valves are above the exhaust valves and the intake rockers are above the cam, then yes, to access the rocker-cam gap it is reached from below through the lower valve cover. Conversely the exhaust rocker-cam gap is reached from above through the upper intake valve cover. Easiest to remove the engine tin. |
