brake upgrade
I have read on this board about brake upgrades for my 82 911sc that involve later carrerra rotors and spacers for the existing calipers, is this easy to do and where can I get the spacers and how much? Thanks Ian

I don't think anyone sells the conversion parts for the 'A' calipers. If you are good at fabrication, you should be able to make the four spacers needed from 1/4" mild steel bar stock. You will also need longer Allen bolts, and some new caliper seals, such as VW 311.615.277. New 'spreader springs' and cross-pins for the pads will also be needed, a factory replacement set of pads normally has those parts in addition to the pads, so you may want to get a replacement pad kit for an '84-'89 Carrera.

In addition to Warren, here are two good sources for information on brake upgrades. Not cheap, but knowledgable.
