Green wire female connector
Hi folks,
My "green wire" disintegrated, including the female plug coming out of the CDI box. I did some searching but didn't find anything conclusive on Pelican. Would a generic amp/bosch connector such as this with pictured female connectors work? ![]() ![]()

Eli,
Yes. If the green coax cracked out of the CDI unit, it should be replaced all the way to the distributor. Teflon-insulated coax would be preferable, but even PVC would give several years of service before cracking again ... since the Teflon coax is getting pricey these days! Plenum-rated Ethernet coax would work, too.

Eli:
Depending on the year/type, you'll have either 3-pin, or 6-pin connectors from the CDI module. In the top picture, you are showing a plug that's used for WUR, CSV, AAR and air flow sensor/switch. Do you intend to use the connectors showing in the second picture to make a new coax-wire? If so, don't mix up the signal wire with the shield connection. I think you'll also need the "Pig-tail" coming out of the distributor sold by PP.

Thank you gents. I have a 78 euro SC, which does not have a wire running straight to the CDI box, but instead there is a plug coming out of the harness near the distributor.
I bought the replacement "green wire" from our host, but it appears I also need the plug to solder on to the two loose wires now coming out of the harness, or what used to be a female connector. I found a plug for around $3 online, and just wanted to double check to make sure it's the right one.... http://www.kayjayco.com/catPConnectors.htm

![]() ![]() Yep, that 2-wire is the connector that needs to be spliced onto your existing green coax to connect the new green pigtail to ... And here are the pins that need to be ordered separately: ![]()
