Talking Breaking her out.

So we caught a break and got the frist spell of decent weather this spring, and in celebration decided to break out the machine. Took it out for a nice little jaunt around town, I had forgotten how fast this thing really is and could have gotten into a lot of trouble in the right people where there at the right time. My dad and I hit her hard with the polish and wax on his new orbital polisher which turned spectacular results. We also added a set of Rennline track tow hooks/skid plates and swapped out the chrome trim rights with a spair black set I found in the garage. I think its a pretty good improvement and helps capture the whole theme of the car better. In addition, we installed a new set of carpets in the front and tried to figure out what to do with the back. BTW in the last picture you can see how my M+k sport muffler looks with an impact bumper, looks pretty good if you ask me. She's a good little track...you know.

You should trim the rear valance, or get a second one to trim like I did. I love the twin sport pipe.

Well, by chrome rims I just meant exposed H4s. They have a chrome ring under the color cover, at least mine did.

hahaah!
Yeah, a 997 GT3RS is on the way. It should be here anytime. in the next week or so.. I think maybe in a week though as it's been on the water now for a bit or in route I should say. I'll post pictures of it once it lands here.
It's an Orange w/ black trim. should be wicked.. it IS my favorite porsche to date.. and that's saying allot as I never though I'd say that about a newer P-car.

BTW: I love the car.... it's nice I am going the same color! but mine is lighter than yours! ahahahhaah and more nasty!.. hah JUst messing you can still shave some lbs's off the car as I am at 2245 lbs with all steel . no light weight crap YET!!!!!!!!!!! I'd insert an E-ville laugh.. but it make me cough! ahaha
Later,
EM

Beautiful car, PorscheGuy.

A word of warning, however... BEWARE THE TOW HOOKS!!

This happened when my trailer was rear-ended while the track car was tied down. I had a chain hooked to each tow hook, threaded through the front of the trailer, so when the trailer lurched forward, it "exposed" my rusty t-bar mounts. A couple hundred bucks, several days of drilling and welding later, and I had my new suspension pan in.

I only use over-the-tire tie downs now.

I would suggest that picture just shows that you were shown a potential failure in a lot less dangerous setting than the track!

Absolutely. I considered it a lucky day. The rust went undetected due to the heavy layer of undercoating. I would suggest you poke around with an awl to be sure you don't have any rust there.

I feel the same way, the GT3 and its RS counterpart are too perfect for words.

How the heck did you do that? I am at 2450 with everything I can think of off of this bad boy. What's your secret? Where am I leaving it at? haha

hahahah! yeah, it takes a bit more to be that light.. you have to really live the light weight doctrine! hahahaha otherwise you'll never drive the car once yer done. hahah..

Me, I don't mind being cold I wear a jacket.. and if it's hot who cares about losing some sweat..my body will make more. hahaa!
The drive is what i am going for.. IF you think we are bad.. talk to Ed Bighi.. he is the man, he has a lightweight gutted 80 930.. he drives everyday.. NOW that is a killing machine!
