Everyone,
I was at the show in Costa Mesa yesterday and noticed the smell of fuel. (Pic: compliments of Wayne) ![]() Turns out I have a small leak from my gas tank at the front passenger side of the tank right at the seam. I live in Long Beach and would like to know if anyone can recommend a solution, or place for repair. The fuel seaps out very slow...but any fuel leak is a bad one. Thanks, Paul

What year tank are you using? Anything CIS and later I would just replace.

Any SC tank and probably 3.2 will work. I'd just find a nice one and replace it.

Paul,
Too bad I sold my old one. $200 with the sender. If the new one hasn't been cleaned out, you can get it cleaned by most radiator shops. Doug

Thinkfloyd14,
Thanks for the compliment on the car. Wheels are 9.5" and 11"s X 17" I am running 275's front and 315' rear Group911, You were right....gotta replace the tank....found some rust at the seam line. Doug, I really missed out if the one you sold was CIS. I am hoping Jeff at Aase motors can dig up one. In case he can't find one....any one have a CIS fuel tank??? Paul

I had these guys http://www.gas-tank.com/ repair an SC tank and they did a great job. They cut the tank open, blast cleaned, welded it back together and coated it inside and out. It didn't look stock but it looked good.
Awesome looking car by the way!

DAMN THAT CAR IS SWEET! take it to a radiator shop. i had a tank cleaned, sealed and a weak spot patched for about $150.

Paul, I'd still do the used tank. You should be able to find one on the coast for a decent price. Just look inside for signs of rust.
