Video Games
Sanda brought Stephanie a Play Station I. Dad knows nothing about video games. Saw two at the store: Gran Turismo 2, and Need For Speed.

Get Gran Turismo 2 as well. It is a great game, The Ruf Turbos FLY! it's only $20 now. Just make sure you have a memory card with room to store your progress.

If you donīt already have it, get a steering-wheel control first. It is essential for realistic driving experience. Then the games, well splash out and have both ![]() If you have to choose one, take GT2. It really is something to tune and hone a RUF BTR to your own specs and then power-oversteer it round Lacuna Seca circuit. I promise you can feel that heavy mass hanging behind the rear axle... As for the NFS, I donīt think it offers anywhere near the realistic driving experience that GT2 does. Yes, the cars are the ones we all love, but thatīs about the only positive thing about NFS... Mika P.S. When you buy a steering-control, make sure itīs compatible with NFS, mine was ok with everything else, but it didnīt work with NFS. |

I agree. If you had to choose one, get Gran Turismo 2 for ultimate realism. Need for Speed is alright, depending on which one. Porsche Unleashed has an awesome opening sequence, though. Not as real but as GT2 but you can choose from a wide variety of Porsches. I said what the heck, I'll get both. Don't have the steering wheel yet, though. If they only had one with force feedback...

They do. They make them for PCs.
![]() NFS: PU is fantastic with the Logitech wheel. I ran a website until a few months ago about force feedback wheels - Force One. I reviewed a pretty good amount of wheels and joysticks and all kinds of fun stuff. I gave interviews for the New York Times, and did work with Car & Driver. Check it out. I haven't updated it in months - I kind of lost interest. There's some cool hardware out there for PCs, and games to go with it. NFS is probably the best that's out there. ------------------ Mark Szabo 1986 911 Targa 3.2 1987 Escort 5-speed 1.9 The 911 Gallery |

I havent played NFS, but I become obsessed with GT2.
If you get GT2 you wont be disapointed. There is so much game play in it; huge amount of tracks, lots of cars, plenty of tuning options plus the ability to change the setup of suspension, LSD, brakes, etc... GT3 should be out soon too. have fun, Alex. ------------------ 911 2.7S Targa email:alex@cascade.f9.co.uk |

Was in Barnes & Noble today. Gran Turismo 3 hit's the shelves shortly. Can't imagine an improvement but it may be worth waiting for.
