If the car has been in the states a while, I don't see why it wouldn't be in carfax. I still have a month and a half of unlimited checks, so if you want me to run it for you, email me the VIN to rtaiken@pacbell.net and I will send you the results privately.
Hell, that goes for anyone else as well. Get my $20 worth. Tom Aiken 82 SC Coupe |

I need to add that I will be happy to run your VIN, but it needs to be the newer 17 character number. In other words, I can't help you if your car is older than 1981.
Carfax doesn't have records older than that. Tom. |

What do you want to know/check? A euro 85 3.2 Coupe should read WPOZZZ91ZFS10.... |

I have a 1983 911 Euro and carfax would not accept my Vin. However:
WP0 = porsche ZZZ = rest of the world car 91 = type car Z = filler letter D = 1983, e = 1984 etc. 15 = rest of 911 and that it is a cabriolet 1923= actual serial number This is also explained in a lot of books. I have just fought the DOT/EPA battle for 2 months but won. George Wroclawski |
