The 3 I know of in Charlotte are:
Black Forest Racing The 911 Shop Eurowerks http://www.eurowerks.us/ I've only read good things about all 3. I don't know if the other 2 have web sites. |

There used to be a race shop in Salisbury too. The name escapes me right now, but they were supposed to do good work.
FWIW I've had my car to Eurowerks and spoke to Terry at the 911 Shop. Both were a few years ago but I found both really helpful.

All three shops mentioned above are excellent. Each has its own personality as well as specialty. For an '87, I would probably lean toward Terry at the 9-11 Shop. It is always best to schedule with him and keep in mind that he is closed on Fridays. That said, I would not -and have not- hesitated to use the other shops.
Pookie, are you thinking about Dave Brown at SpeedWerks in Thomasville?

Never cared for 911 Shop
You have JTS MotorSports in Hickory excellent work but he can sometimes get side tracked

I have known John at Black Forest when he was in South Florida. Very honest and good work. that reminds me, I haven't seen his new shop in NC yet.

I'd like to add my vote for John at Black Forest in South Clt. Very knowledgable and personable.
Keep in mind that any of these shops tend to get overwhelmed when a PCA event (race, DE, etc.) is coming up. Your project may take a lower priority during those times.

If you feel like driving 100 miles or so south on I-85 or find yourself in the Greenville area, I'd suggest Protech Motorsports in Greenville, SC. Very good guys, and very good work. Ask for Frank or Bill - tell them 'short' Mike sent ya'.
Later, Mike
