Sway bar question

I have a chance to get a set of used Smart Racing sway bars.

The person selling them have them on a 79 SC and my car is a '76 S. I checked on Smart Racing website and it seems that the front sway bar would be the same for both models, but the rear has a different part number. Does anyone knows the difference between this 2 and if it can be adapted easily?

Thanks

Im no expert, but I think the only difference is in the attachment point of the drop link to the trailing arm. On a 76, the drop link just snaps on, and I believe that on the 79, it bolts on. Their may be a way to make it work, but the bananas are completely different. The 79 will have a threaded hole, and the 76 will have a big round plug thats molded into the arm.

The drop-link attachment points on the bananas are different as Rod stated, but it's irrelevant in this application because the SR bars attach to the toe eccentric hole on the spring plate.

There shouldn't be a problem bolting on the rears. The difference may be the bushing block where it bolts to the chassis that is different, but I can't remember what year they changed the spacing.

I have installed a newer sway bar in an older car. Search for this topic. I made some custom bracket out of the factory drop links. It was pretty easy.
