What are these parts??

I am doing a a little 2.7 rebuild and figure everything that comes off should get a new gasket. Also if you guys know on this 1976 S motor what color wires go to each of these.
Thanks
Nathan

Thankyou again Walter for your knowledge. I want to make sure I am getting all the right gaskets for any of the items I can. I took off the cam covers today to reveal the chain tensioners having those safety things on them, and the oil tubes on the bottom of the motor, the O rings were dryed up and broke. That cant be good. It looks like as well as the O rings there are other thicker gaskets and there was also a lot of silicone stuff around the area.
Thanks
Nathan

Nathan,

To finish answering your questions about the wire color:

#3 = oil pressure switch = green/white

#4 = Thermo time switch = yellow on one side and red/black on the other. The yellow wire is supposed to be combined with a grey/white wire, but mine combines with the yellow wire inside the wiring harness - not at the switch.

#5 = oil pressure = green/red

#6 = oil temp = black/green

Nathan,

It is important to note that your pic shows chain wheel carriers were not updated to the 1980.5+ style with double bushings ... this is a very, very important issue! The double-bushing chain wheel carriers are considered to be the 'real' fix to all tensioner failure remedies that were tried by the factory from 1966 - 1984!

Nathan:
Give us a picture of both chain housings showing the entire chain so we can tell you if your chains have stretched.

Here is a pic of both. Also I have removed the collapsable oil tubed and small O rings were dry and broken and notice the massive amount of silicone around the green larger o rings

Looks to me the chains still have some life left.
There is nothing wrong with mechanical tensioners as long as they are rotating freely on the shaft plus you have the safety clamps.
It's your decision: Upgrade to hydraulic tensioners or keep what you have but check that they don't seize.
I had the same oil tubes and couldn't find new O-rings.
If you split the case anyway, use the non-collapsable tubes.
Have fun.
