Trouble removing rear seats

Am I missing something? I'm trying to remove my rear seats, and I seem to be stuck (or the bolts are stuck) on unscrewing the slotted bolts at the hinge points. Is there something I'm missing here, or are they just stuck? Also, what do you do about the pins in the middle hinge joints?

Use the biggest flat screw driver you have and an adjustable wrench to break them loose. They just need a little leverage.

They are just stuck! The last few I've removed, I had to use an impact screwdriver. An inexpensive tool that you strike with a hammer that brakes the bolts loose.

Thanks. I also so a thread where someone mentioned "soaking" it. Soaking it in what?

Probably some form of anit-seize, or "break free" solvant (liquid wrench for example, better products available). Just be careful as this stuff typically has a VERY strong order to it, so if you get it on your carpet, etc., it's gonna stink.

pb Blaster or Kroil are good for the soaking -- they need you to tap the fastener dozens of times and they need TIME to work - 2 days or so... tapping all the while

next try a prybar and/or the manual impact driver noted above

after that rip the upholstery off with your teeth and use a torch to burn it all up while applying as much heat as you can to the fasteners

last, you can try C-4

Do these steps in order, do not skip steps...

I think those bolts basically get stuck in place by some kind of intrusion into the threads from whatever is sprayed on as underbody sealant. That's what the penetrant unseals--not rust but the undercoating.
