911 Valve cover torque pattern

Can someone suggest a good pattern for torquing the valve covers on a 911?

inside out alternate top and bottom. just like a round flange except it's a straight line

I spiral out from the center to press the gasket towards the edges, it's just something I learned while wrenching for GM.
