lets see those interiors

Ok, so we have all seen some really great exterior shots...but how about some pictures of your interiors - especially from the RS and RSR replica crowd.

Lets see those purposeful cockpits, nicely trimmed dashes, racing buckets, period seating, drilled pedals, etc.

See, this is what I am talking about:

- door panels
- well integrated seat colors
- sport wheel
- dash pad

It is unique, purposeful, and tastefully personal.

Paco Anton -
Why not add the console! I figure that the more usable and personal you make your car...the better you make it.

Maybe someone with a similar interior & a console can post a picture.

Here's my "sports purpose" R Gruppe '72 S with period race bucket, passenger sport seat, factory dead pedal, 914-6 GT steering wheel and original 69K mile interior, including radio:

Randy -
I really like the race bucket -- is it a recent addition?

I think that Corbeau has something similar. Please let me know if it is, as I have been curious to see what it would look like (of course, yours look much nicer - but still)

Comfortable for average/daily driving?

These are too dark. I'm only posting them so that the coupe and targa owners can grit their teeth trying to get the same angle photo.
It's okay guys. Remember, no one takes a cab with a high revving engine seriously. They assume a girl should be driving eh?

Still working on it, but here it is with some of the aluminum accents to "update" it a bit. Think Audi TT.

MGoldleaf, I've had this original condition vintage Recaro bucket for a couple of years. A slightly earlier version is being replicated now in So Cal - check out the classifieds at www.early911sregistry.org for info. Corbeau makes a seat that is vintage looking and similar, but not the same design or materials.

It's very comfortable as long as you are not over about 5'11" and 180 lb. Access requires more dexterity than a sports seat, but it's not as bad as a race seat. I've driven in it from Seattle to Las Vegas and back - no problem.

I cant get more than one picture in at a time, here is the door.

The interior is tan, but I am converting it (slowly) to black with aluminum accents. The seats are in great shape, but I have the all black Wet Okole seat covers on to bring more black in until I get new seats.

A real estate agent recently described it as "sort of art deco". Yeah, sort of ..... -- Curt

How do you get the multi-colored dash? Is there some type of vinyl stain or paint? if so how durable is it? Easy to apply? Thanks
