Best way to clean and restore Cooler Hard Lines

I'm getting ready to install my used Hard lines and oil cooler. They have a bunch of undercoating and black paint on them. I would like them to look new when I install them.

1: First way to clean and remove paint and undercoating
2: Final Finishing? Paint or leave as they are?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Jon

I had great results with lacquer thinner and scotchbrite! It took off a few coats of old paint... revealed the brass underneath...douse it, let it sit, and start rubbing. Make sure you have adequate ventilation
