I have asked this before but have not found the answer yet... Is there some reference we have to know how many of each color were made each year, or even how many of each color in each body style?
|
Here's mine:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1174860030.jpg I love this colour, although I've never understood why it's called "ruby red" - it looks more of a sort of "earth brown" to me. |
Here's another pic, with a nice church in the background:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1174865542.jpg The engine is out to address the standard (hopefully) oil leaks. It will be at least 3-4 weeks before it's back on the road...going through withdrawals... :( I am driving the 325i in the meantime...not bad but it's not the SC. v/r Wayne C. 83 SC <--- engine out |

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1189125812.jpg I'm sure I'm not overly biased when I say Rubinrot is 'THE' colour!! Depending on the lighting it appears anywhere from ruby to burgundy to metallic brown. Cheers! |
Great looking cars, guys!
Over 90% of all the cars I have driven since getting my driver's license have been red, but for some reason my 911 selections have ended up being some shade of Grey. Regards, David. |

No pictures on this post, but some interesting (I think) info on our favorite color...
According to paintscratch, aside from the early years Ruby Red, 1983 and 1984 are the only two years that Rubin Rot was offered... |
