Sunroof park position ?
I bought my '83 coupe last November and worked on it in the winter to fix its numerous electrical problems; one of which was the sunroof. I've got the sunroof working now but the position the panel parks in when it is closed looks a little odd.
The front is flush with the rest of the roof but the rear of the panel is about a 1/4" lower than the rest of roof. There are no water leaks here but I suspect this is a source of a lot of the wind noise above 100 kph. Is this the normal position for the sunroof or is there some sort of adjustment needed? Thanks

Dave,
There should be an adjustment that will raise therear of the roof. 1/4" is really too low.

The panel should be totally flush with the roof with only the seal exposed up a bit, you can adjust the fitment, as Dave said-but personally I have not come across how to do this.

There is an adjustment on each corner of the sunroof. You need to remove the interior covering to get at them. It is easy to do, but hard to explain. Check out 101 Projects. I* think it contains the information you need.

Thanks guys. I found the 101 article. There seems to be a couple of triangular *things* (to use the technical term
) that are responsible for shoving the sunroof up into position at the end of travel. Maybe mine are missing. Fortunatly our host sells the *things*
