Oil presure switch and temps sensor sizes?1

I am using the normal temp sensor by the fan to send my ECU temp data so I need another sensor location for the dash gauge. I always thought the pressure switch warning light was redundant to the pressure gauge anyway, is it practical to replace the pressure switch with a temp sensor?

Without disassembling everything back there to get to the switch, can anyone tell me if the switch and the temp are the same diameter/threadpitch? I recall they were close during the engine assembly but not sure if they are exact?

thanks
