Through or underbody sway?Which is better
 

While I have the front suspension off, I might as well ask outloud about what you guys
think is better. Im putting an entire 78SC suspension on my 71e. The A-arms have the underbody sway bar tabs on them, however; my 71 has the through body 'option' behind the gas tank. Whichever I choose to go with, I will have to weld somewhere--through body--new tabs on top the a arms--underbody--tabs for the rearmost body brackets. I'd like to know which sway you guys think is best before I call and knock a ding in my wallet for the front suspension parts..........

The through-the-body bars are better, because you have the option of an adjustable-link model, whether you exercise that option now, or some time later!

I should have asked before, but what MM size torsions did the 78sc have on the front?
AND---These struts/shocks-whatever their called-are boge's. I can depress them with my hand, and they slowly come back up. If that's not good I need to know if there are insert cartridges avail? or if I have to buy the whole thing!?! I have swapped out the rear boges with Koni adjust.

I belive that the SC fron bar on my 71 car the two middle brackets were bolted to the two front axel brackets that tie the middle of the axel to the chassic and the clips for the ends were the only thing that was welded. My car came with both bars the SC under the car and a 19mm bar in the stock hole. The thru the body bar was not used and there were no drop links to hook it up. I removed the SC bar and will use the thru the body style cause I can adjust it. The SC bar is a fixed non adjustable unit.
