Its common if the windows are not sealing completely with the seals. Take look at the top of the windows from outside the car when they are fully closed and the check the seals around the sunroof. If you see any gaps, then you have the source of your wind noise.

If you find gaps at the top of the windows and are sure the seals are in good (proper) condition, then you will need to adjust the travel of your windows. Its vary simple to do, but you need to remove your door panel to access the two allen head bolts.

If you are interested in Track time, the Oregon Region of PCA (Portland) has several days reserved this year for Drivers Education at PIR plus a monthly Autocross. In your area, the Cascade Region also has some activites going on. Check the the clubs out.

the SC has an additional seal that early cars did not have.

Thanks all for the compliments. When I first started looking I didn't really care for the color. But NOW, now it's really growing on me and it is a little more unique. I'm curious about what the color is called. I can now see why people are so crazy :eek: about these cars. It evokes such emotions, it's great. My first couple of bucks back into this car will be a few updates of hoses and things, then new headliner, and two new rear speakers (they are both blown and sound terrible), possibly new steering wheel (the stock is pretty ugly).
After that who knows, I've liked modding cars in the past. All I know is I've got to keep it tasteful.

Congrats! Beautiful car! I have a Targa and I have some wind noise when I drive with the targa top off, but I roll up the side windows and it's manageable. When it's warm, the targa top seals nicely and doesn't squeak or anything. I just drove my car 3300 miles in 6 days (MI to FL and back) and the car loved the 85 plus temps in southern FL. Enjoy!

Beautiful car, and welcome. My only advice is listen to the advice on this board, it will save you hours of grief. Seems there is always someone willing to answer your question who has been in the same situation before.

I have a targa, and believe that Porsche included the wind noise as a standard feature (no extra charge) as opposed to an issue.
