Saw a promo for a show on Speed that seems to focus on great rides for bikes. The upcoming show is focused on Palomar Mountain, so it looked like a good preview for our Palomar run...

A good rule would be to establish a solid date about 2 weeks in advance. Scott, if you can't make it on th 14th, why not say the 21st right now and for sure? I could do either, but I'd like to know a sfar in advance if possible. Of course, something can always come up and interfere, but that's life.

It turns out that the 14th is actually fine after all and Milt has a point. Personally, I can't make the weekend of the 20th because my wife and I are leaving town so I'll choose the 14th.

So there it is, the date is set - Saturday, April 14th. I'll try to work out details as to meeting place and time as soon as possible.

I'll start a new thread...

Scott,
How did I miss this thread. I have been dying for a run but I am booked that entire weekend.

I am not available until the last two weeks of April. April 14-15th is really booked.

If you guys end up going on the 14th, I hope you all have a great time....;)

Luis, you know we can always take a little run any time you want, considering you're so close.

Scott,
Just found out that some exotics go to Balboa Pier Parking lot right on the beach on Saturday morning similar to the Crystal Cove gathering. I always wondered where all the Ferraris and Lambos end up; since so few italian cars are present at the Cars and Coffee.

True enough, we (Chris, Alex, Paul, etc...) can rally up anytime.

Thanks, Luis

Absolutely - a plan is already underway for March 7. Check out the thread:

Come on and join the fun.

I ran Palomar probably once every three weeks last Summer. I've got one stoplight a 1/2 mile from my house, which is the bottom of Lake Wohlford Rd. From there, I'm winding my way to the bottom of S. Grade Rd, probably 20 miles away. When I leave at 6, I'm on the mountain and back down before the 2 wheel crazies (and the CHP) are anywhere near it.

Up S. Grade and down East Grade is a pretty exhilarating run.
