3.2 spongy brakes
ive recently bought my first porsche its a 1987 carrera, love it but brakes feel little spongy car pulls up straight just spongy feeling at pedal.
i suspect it is the rubber brake hoses (havent bled system yet), from what i can see they are the 14 year old originals. will new oe hoses give better pedal feal or is worth upgading to braided hoses any recomendations would be appreciated ------------------ mike 1987 carerra |

Mike!
I have an 86' Cab that I put Weltmeister DOT SS Brake lines on, and ATE Super Blue brake fluid in. Pedal feels great! You won't regret this upgrade! Huey581 |

There are no components in a stock 911 brake system that will cause spongy brakes! Flush all of the old brake fluid from your system, bleed them, then decide if something else needs to be done! OEM rubber brake lines do not swell! That is a myth! Air bubbles causes spongy brakes, nothing else can!
