Did factory deliver RS27 spec bumper to 2.2/2.4 T/E cars?

Can anyone help me on this?

Story in short; I am building Endurance racing car for one peculiar class in Finland, there is limitation that I should use parts what factory sold to than specific model, either as original or as optional feature as new.

My car is 1973 2.4E model but I have all stuff to make it look like 2.7 RS. However, reading literally rules, I should not take e.g. bumpers & ducktail from 2.7 RS and isntall then to 2.4E. Only in case factory had supplied one 2.4E car with these pumbers & ducktail, I would be allowed to do so.

But tricky part it, where to get this information, it has been more than 30 years since, and I wonder is anyone recall or if there are any documents to prove this.

Nothing against original 2.4E look, but I plan to install oil coolers etc. so RS spec would be more applicable to my car now.

The factory kept very good records on cars that were delivered with special parts. In addition to this, many clients would bring their cars back to Stuttgart to have repairs or other modifications performed. I've seen the small notebooks where pictures and notations were kept to document the transactions with the clients.
Now its going to be a fun adventure for you to investigate this with the factory on what you ask.
We have all seen various cars that were special factory ordered with competition or luxury equipment. Hopefully someone on this board or the early S board can help with the documentation you seek.

For example we have seen a couple of members whose cars (documented) had the factory optional rear 7" flares delivered on their cars.

Good luck

As far as the coolers are concerned: Are you allowed to use double coolers like the 911R used? One in each fender behind the headlamp area. Then the 911S front bumper can be used. Certainly not as effective as the RS in aerodynamic, but better than the stock E bumper

The class has a limit, when car delivered from factory, engine power shall not be above 177 hp or 130 kW. Hence I had just choice to start with 2.7S (with CIS) 175hp or 2.4E (with MFI) 165 hp. I went for MFI as it feels more to me like racing car, and in addition I have already pretty goog headers (must use original type) and injection system (CIS air meter neither can be touched) and I can change internals to fit 2.4S+ spec.

2.4S do have too much power i.e. those parts as well should not be used (I just wonder if anyone there even knows difference, even 2.7RS parts they may not know, only concern is that original parts in 2.4E are steel where RS were classfibre, and to use classfibre people will note, someone may rise question and once I explain these are from 2.7RS, people start to know).

Anyhow, I like 911 cars, and in this class all other buddies are using 20 years newer cars. It will be fun anyhow to have real legend among others. I have a bit limited time to build the car, but I will take pictures along my road and will make complete thread once I have enough material. Now I have nearly finsihed chassis with seams rewelded, roll bar inside and I have sourced nearly all parts I need including 930 brakes, fuel cell, RSR bilsteins, etc. etc. I believe it will be a bit overbuilt for that engine,

But to stay in topic, all hints to solve my problem are welcome!!

well.. your brakes and rsr bilsteins are certainly not production items as fitted to any RS as delivered from the factory!
a m 471 race car (the 2.8 RSR) ok was delivered with these parts

Sorry, I forgot to tell that some parts are not restricted, like shocks, torsion bars, brakes (just need to fit inside 15" rims), engine modifications except touching air intake or exhaust. But body parts in general should "original model", same applies to gearbox, it should be same "series" as engine.
