HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE MORE THAN 1 PORSCHE??

Well its kinda funny it seems that when you get involved with a particular car you usually wind up having more than one of them. When I was into mini coopers I had 2 of them, when I was into corvettes I had 2 of them and since I just bought my first 911 i am contemplating buying a 914 for auto crossing and playing with.It does make sense to me because I would probably spend just as much money on the 911 to get it ready to autocross as I could pick up a decent 914 for and then I wouldnt torture the 911 as much. How many people out there have more than one porsche and doesnt that make sense??

I am the proud owner of 1.2 Porsches at the moment.
If I get a messed up 73 or older 914 to mix and match with my 75 to get one full (legal) 914, then I'll offically have 1.5 Porsches.

I have three.

1971"S" Targa
1973"S" Coupe
1998 TurboS (for sale)

Porsche's are just so reliable and easy to run I couldn't resist having more than one.

I have 5 P-cars:
'01 996 C2 with aerokit & GT3 suspension bits
'00 996 C2 cabrio (for the wife)
'93 964 RS love/hate relationship
'74 914 underpowered stocker, soon to be 6
'58 308 Diesel tractor (yes, it's a Porsche)

I have to come clean on the 2 996's, they are company rides. I don't own them, but if they let you use them all the time, then it is as good as owning them.

Regards

I just sold my 1985.5 944 and sort of regret it as it was very dependable so now I am left with my 1973.5 911T, Porsche Carrera Sunglasses and a shelf full of 1:18 scale Porsche models! Gotta keep the Plymouth Voyager for the family outings!!

Only one Porsche. But due to the ridiculous tax system we have here in Denmark I paid 2 times its price in tax! So in a way I should have 3 Porsches...which unfortunately I don't...becuase I live in car hating Denmark.

25% VAT and 180% registration tax: Buy 1, at the price of 3. IT SUCKS

We have had 2 at various times, most recently a '74 914 1.8L to go with the '83 SC Targa. Unfortunately the wife didn't dig the 914, so it had to go to make room in the driveway for the grocery getters. She liked the 944 we had but wasn't very good about belt adjustments (can you hear the sound of pistons and valves coming together?)...

I would definitely recommend the 914 as a 2nd P-car. They're underpowered but great fun to toss around. In fact, I found the 914 more fun to drive than the SC, mostly b/c at 1/6 the price I could toss it around w/o fear of overbearing repair costs : )

It'll be one at a time for us for the next 17 years (until the youngest son goes to college). That is unless a great Beck 550A pops up in our neck of the woods!

Yeah, swing on out to the US. We complain about some pretty low tax rates. For that matter, all the east coasters ought to just swing out to CA as well. In fact, we'll break off and declare Southern CA the Porsche Owners' State.
Babes, sun, fun, and boxer engines...what more could you ask for?

Me and my fiancee have 4:
-1973 RS (to be restored, complete and authentic), 123000 Kms
-1976 Carrera 3.0, restored lightweight, 180000 Kms
-1983 3.3 Turbo, 380-400 Hp, factory special 95000 Kms
-1989 944 Turbo cup factory race car 60000 Kms, factory new cup engine
I may add that the most expensive of the lot cost us less than a new VW golf GTI. All bought over 10 years, and used for fun drives, and I hope soon some track time.
