I see a lot of 91's for sale and cheap. You can get them for 15K or so. Reading my Buyers Guide, it states these cars aren't reliable due to a lot of new design flows. Is this why they seem to be cheaper? I mean the 90-91's go for 15K-20K and then the 94+ jump up in price. It just so happens that the reliability rating jumps there too.
Are the 91's (89,90,91, and 92 also) a non-desirable car? Anyone have any inputs on this? Last edited by rdk409; 03-29-2007 at 07:43 AM.. |

Doing a search will yeild much info. I happen to believe that the 964 series is very under-appreciated. They had a few issues early on but most will have been taken care of now (clutches, distro vent, etc.). Great bang for the buck at that price.

Some issues were as mentions the twin distributor vent and there have been mentionings that the valve guides wear out prematurely.
One thing to do is remove the pan under the engine as that seemed to trap a lot of heat in the engine bay. My father has a 964 and thus far has proved to be a very reliable car.
