Thanks to Pelican!
This weekend I installed a short shift kit, aux. air regulator and some aluminum gauge bezels in my Turbo. I have to tell you if it wasn't for this site I wouldn't done it. I purchased all the items (except gauge bezels)from Pelican after hearing they were easy updates.
So I get the short shift kit and one page of instructions for three different models (with Pic's - nothing against Weltmeister, but one page!). So I disassemble, no problem there. Get to remove the shift rod - problem. I couldn't get the pin out with the rod in the shift tower bracket. I sweat, swear, call a couple of Pcar mechanics, wait overnight. Sunday morning I log into the site and check tech tips for the shifter install. Lo and behold, complete run down. I print those pages out. I went back, removed the 22m lock nut and allen, voila, it works. Just what I wanted. A quicker throw through the gears. While waiting to get the shift kit right, I installed the air regulator(also purchased through Pelican). I was experiencing high idle on cold days no matter how warm the engine was. This update solved that 100%. Next was removing the gauges to replace the bezels. So I went back to the wonderful tech tips, printed out the instructions, and completed that project. Thanks again, Pelican. Next week I hope to get the numeraled oil temp gauge (Pelican supplied) update done. John 79 930 PS, No affiliation with Pelican, just a happy bbs user. |

Being in a country where few people have even heard of what a Porsche is, I know the feeling of finding information to be used later. For excellent general information, visit: http://www.rennsportsystems.com/~porsche/1.html

http://www.imagineauto.com/ Is where I bought the billet aluminum parts for my turbo. They have a picture of most all parts installed. There is also some stainless steel and carbon fiber too. Good luck
