930 Information

Could anyone point out to me websites with information (tech, specs, FAQs, maintenance, perf., etc) on the 930s, specifically the late 80s cars? Thanks in advance for the replies.
Yesterday I found a 1998 930 Cab with 3K miles on it. Leftover at the dealer since 88, its black with black top, burgundy color, Euro spec (I am in Panama, so no problem). Had my mind made up on a 94 964, but this might be interesting...

I might be biased but there is not a cooler factory street porsche except the very rare slant nose turbo cabs. SUPER If you search the site you will find lots of discussion about turbos and their quirks. A stock 930 is quite robust. Longevity is highly variable depending on how the car is used/abused.

You might want to try 911turbo.com. This site also has a BBS where some of your questions might be answered.

The following site is a very good resource for tech specs and a good list for various models: http://www.jovid.com/acatalog/porsche911.html

Thank you all for the replies. The 930 in question is not slant nose, but its one of the 187 Euro 930 cabs made in 88. Teh car has been barely used and is in mint shape. Though I agree the 930s are one of the best looking 911s, perhaps not the best daily driver in stop and go traffic. No move yet, I like to research and learn before making such a decision. Again, thank you!
