1972 911t - Please critique -
I am in the market for a nice '72 T and came across this on eBay. I know I have seen the car up for auction already so something may have happened to the last sale.
Anyone know anything about this particular car? Thanks -

Looks like a lot of tire shine and spray on wax. Ask for pictures of torsions, pans, rockers, front pan, and pedal box area.

Nice and shiny. I love the colour.
Will need to see the car in person and up close really, as photos can be deceiving.

I love that car - but I'd sure want to know more details. In addition to the above, ask about the engine. Has it been rebuilt? What about the trans? MFI in good shape? Carerra tensioners?

Unless they have been changed, the grilles by the turn signals are black on the 73, chrome on the 72.

It looks fairly complete. Agree about the horn grills. None of the "areas of concern" regarding rust are shown. I would bet it's fair share of rust is present. EVERY EARLY CAR HAS RUST! (except Paul's
I would HIGHLY recommend you have someone near take a very good look at this car. If it has a little rust at the pedal assy, rear seat area or other non critical areas, 13k-19k would be fair. Lots of rocker panel, jacking point, torsion tube, front pan, floor board would bring down the price quickly. If there's a CARDEX and it has all the things you have to have in an early car, that will be up to you on the value. I figure the owners know someone will buy it as it sits. Maybe

Let me tell you a little story. When I bought my SWB I poked at almost everything. It was all solid. The passenger side front corner was the only place not touched when it was restored about 20 years ago. At the time the owner ran out of money on that corner and left it. He told me it could be crusty but I thought whatever and bought it. Car was fine, but the other day I started poking again. Found no rust, and then I figured let me look where I don't want to and I found the rust. Even my car which was 99% rust free is only about 90% now. I have a VERY clean car. Much better looking than the one you show. I would be careful as anything going into this one without actually poking with a sharp device at the undercarriage.

I also love this car, if only for the year and the color. Wish I could buy it...
