Yearly, for over 20 years, the Sacramento Valley Region has what we refer to as "CRAB", a whole weekend of fun, hopefully in the sun.
Friday night was a "FunKana" that test your driving skills in a much tighter Auto-cross coarse where you have to do "Funny" things like throw balls into a basket while maneuvering through pylons. I won first place, probably due to the fact that there no other cars in my class. Saturday is comprised of a choice of driving tours, this year the tour to Malakoff Diggins State Park and another to the wine country. I was in the one to the Diggins. Saturday night is a Crab fest, this year 2.5 lbs of crab per person with awards given for various things. Today, rain or shine, there will be a Concourse at the Towe Museum near the W/X freeway. With the typical classes as well as fun classes with rules for dirtiest car and other secret things they look for. It's generally a very fun weekend. Me in the 'FunKana', normally done in the dark, but I managed to sneak in just before sun down. ![]() ![]()
