Repair Horn Ring?

In trying to bend the horn ring on my '68, it broke. Does anyone know if it can be repaired? If it's aluminum, it might be weldable but if it's pot metal, it can't. I'm open to ideas or to buying one.
Thanks.

Hi,

I do not know what they are made of but you should be able to find a replacement butterfly for any number of Porsche Dismantlers (DC Automotive, Parts Heaven, EASY, Parts Obsolete are ones where I typically look first) or by posting a "Want to Buy" here.

FWIW, The leather insert is quite valuable and usually this is what folks are looking for.

Why were you trying to bend it?

Hi Harry,
It had been bent down somewhere along the way and I was trying to get some clearance from the steering wheel.
Thanks for the tips on sources. I have a post in the Used Parts WTB currently but it hasn't gotten much response yet.
Regards - Jerry
