Expert Advice Needed - 911 Bodywork

Hello,

I have a 77 3.0 911 78 Euro Model and am trying to decide whether or not to take the plunge and restore this car, starting with the structure and body.

I need some expert advice and possibly expert work in some areas - ie Celette bench/Unibody straightening.

I am in Metro Atlanta.

I need somebody to look at this car and give me the lowdown. I would love to find out exactly what it is as well. It is a 77, but its VIN starts 9118 and it has a 3.0. Can, or will, the factory supply any info? Is there another source?

Does anybody know of anyone here in Atlanta who specializes in Unibody alignment/repair?

Are there guns for hire who will travel?

I have access to a full blown restoration shop with lifts and paint booth this summer for free, but my uncle knows nothing about Unibody or Porsche. The first thing I want to do is replace a not badly rusted sill/kidney bowl area and ensure the car is in perfect alignment, I feel I can take it from there.

Any ideas on what Celette alignment (or this type of work in general) can run?

Thanks in advance.

I can only help you with the VIN.

I have a Euro 1978-6 model. My VIN also starts out with 911... It makes it very painful to register in most states, but that is how it supposed to be. You can find out some info about the car by entering your VIN into the computers at that auto place you will have access to this summer (the program that allows them to generate work quotes). You can also get info from Porsche.
