New 911 SC owner! pics
I know I've posted some pics already but I have not done a "new owner post" yet.
Can I help I'm a proud owner? I've spent the last couple days cleaning it up as it was under cover for about 6-8 months. 1979 911 SC basically stock with a few factory upgrades. Runs great and I can't get enough! A couple of pics after its first wash and then a couple in the garage after a few days of cleaning (buff job, back to black, meguiars leather cleaner, etc...). I'm really happy how well it cleaned up. I've got a few things in line to upgrade but I've got to be patient, right?

P.S.
I used Mother's Back to Black on the wheels and it made a huge difference as you can see between the two pics. |

Beautiful car, looks like it's in great shape, 7's & 9's on that? You're starting ahead of most everyone else with those! Now enjoy it!

Nice car. If it were me, I'd black out the window trim.

Nice car. How did you get brightwork. I thought all SCs had blacked out trim.

Yhea the brightwork has a old school look and something I wanted to do to my car to back date it. How did you get the brightwork?

The flat back window trim was an SC option until 1980, then it was standard. You could still special order the chrome window trim then, as evidenced by Ed Hughes Carrera Targa.

Thanks sc-targa I didn't know that. I have never seen an SC with anything but blacked out trim. HHMMMM I wonder if I could take my blacked out trim to a polished look?

You have that new car owner smile. The great thing about a 911 is that the smile keeps getting bigger !
