Drove out to Ulysses ol' place...
I finished up a couple of minor projects on my car a couple of weeks ago (WEVO shift coupler, new throttle cable connector @ the tranny, re-weld of some seat mounts, and POR-15 on both sides of the floor pan.) So I took the car in for a tune up this week.
Steve Mains is a GREAT wrench down here for anybody interested...! I thought the car was running good before, it's screaming now ! Anyhow, it was ready Thursday night, but I couldn't get it until Friday morning. So I picked it up on a pretty cold, but BEAUTIFUL Friday morning & went for a drive... Headed out east of Cincinnati along the Ohio River, and just kept driving.. Eventually I came to Pt Pleasant, Ohio, birthplace of Ulysses S. Grant, President of the U.S. ! Just down the street (about 15-20 min) from the Zimmer Nuclear Power Plant. I even took a leak in the U. S. Grant Memorial Rest Area, which is little more than a cinder Block out house (Albeit His/Hers) with a very nice quality paint job ! What an AWESOME drive ! Only problem was, there is a GREAT road to drive on the other side of the river & no way to get over there... I think there's a ferry down along the River there somewhere, but don't know where... Sorry if I get flamed for no photos ! I'll take the camera next time !
