Nice work. Looks like a repro tank? If so, how was the fit,
any issues ?

911,
yes it is a reproduction tank, it fitted pretty good, very minor issues: one of them was the direction/orientation of the vent spout and the fuel-out pipe stub a little off.
The thickness of the metal (galvanized) is less, but I decided to cover the entire tank with a cold- applied elastomeric compound commonly used on commercial roofing....($8)
I gave 3 coats, it dries pretty quickly and it remains kind of flexible, but very tough. It was white in color, that is why I painted the bottom of the finished tank with a black paint that is used to waterproof commercial building's foundations, ($ 5) and painted the top of the tank with a spray can paint (hammered finish $ 3).

the whole project took 3 days only because I had to wait for the paints to dry......

I am amazed how easy it was!!!

Next will be the painting of the front hood and seats re-upholstering....

Spring is here!!!
Rino
