For lunch today - autocross wheels!
So im wanting to go to autocross but I dont want to ding up my RUF wheels or bust up the Dunlops. The general consensus was to find a cheap set of wheels to dedicate to track use. I found a set of 15" phone dials that should do the trick. The wheels were at Leather Menders in Austin and I decided to take a trip over lunch to purchase. What I found there was an interesting scene.
![]() ![]() ![]() There was a very well done 1969 E currently there for interior work. Signal Green. It was a little dusty, but you could tell it was a quality paint job. Straight and narrow. and then... ![]() ![]() These seats were just redyed to bring back the color and fix the scuffs. I thought they were brand new. I had no idea that you could redye a leather seat and make it look that good. I got to talking with Paul, hes the owner, seemed like a real standup guy. finally... ![]() ![]() so I got these wheels as my first step to getting on the track! Interesting lunch for me, thats for sure...
