ssi 2in/out on an 89 3.2 euro

Can I put my ssi's 2in/out on an 89 3.2 euro motor if so what' involved?

Thick or thin flanged?
O₂ sensor provision on the SSi's

Not sure how do I tell, They are on my 2.7 at the moment not sure is there is a O2 sensor provision where will i find it?

If they are on the 2.7 they are likely thin flanged --the 3.2 likely has longer studs for thick flanged. (not too big of an issue)

On the O2 . ..your set likely doesn't have it. If you want to look it exists on the left side SSi. --it would be a blocked-off threaded hole if it is there...as a 2.7 doesnt use an O2 sensor.

island is right. no issues just have to use spacer to take up the distance on the threaded stud. .

They fit fine. Bolt them up using STOCK 3.2 gaskets. Below is a pic of a 3.2 set. I point out the difference between the two. Both are thick flange.. but one of them gets a "beveled" edge on the outside and the other gets a "beveled edge on the inside.


3.2 Liter 1 3/8 ID and 1.5 OD.



Here is the difference between the two. Very minor differences and most if is to fit the heads correctly.

Also if it does not have an 02 sensor what needs to be done to accomidate this?

where did you get the air filter for the 3.2 ?

It's just a K&N with a 3 1/2" flange. Note I'm not using the AFM because I'm running megasquirt.

spacers can be washers or machined spacers. I bought 503 rotax head stud spacers for the shroud. works perfect
